Notes: Darius Christian's GRC pipes are made to be smoking tools, as he clearly states himself. He avoids complicated shapes, sticking to the Danish classics. "It is my opinion that a pipe should be simple and well engineered," Darius says. Accordingly, he doesn't think of himself as a shape creator or innovator - and has no qualms about identifying his influences, especially Per Hansen of Bang.

Comments: In my limited experience, Darius makes excellent smokers: wide open for an easy draw, and well balanced. The finish on the pipe shown is very good, and while the shape may lack ultimate finesse, it is definitely of the 'friendly' kind that lends itself to many situations. The bit is not quite as thin as those of some high-graders, but well made and very comfortable nevertheless.
