Notes: Fiamma di Rey produced some stunning pieces in the English style during the 1980s - and then suddenly disappeared from the scene, allegedly for business reasons. Owner G. Spadoni became a Dunhill importer, but unsmoked pipes are sometimes still available in online stores.

Grading is by crowns, from 1 - 10 (ascending order), e.g. 'dieci corone' (top grade).

Comments: The bit on the pipe shown (10 crowns) could be more comfortable, but the grain and workmanship are almost perfect. The discontinuation of this brand was a great loss. At the time, it was one of the few Italian makes with an uncompromising focus on top quality.
